The show season is just around the corner, why not use shipping containers as exhibition stands.
For companies that market their goods at multiple exhibitions, the extra cost of getting external companies to provide stands at each event can add up – shipping containers are the perfect solution.
They look impressive – a decking area outside the container can be created, as well as lighting and seating inside the container. Also, all of your company’s promotional material can be hung both inside and outside the containers.
Being over eight foot high, the roof of the container could be used either as a separate meeting area with a staircase and handrails or as a base for more advertisements.
You will really stand out from the crowd and draw the attentions of the visitors at the shows.

40 foot shipping container hire (or 30, 20, 10ft) – then transform them into a generator
New waste-to-energy technology can now be fitted within a shipping container to turn them into power generators.
The ‘MuckBuster’ relies on conventional anaerobic digestion technology to turn food, manure and septic waste into a useful biogas (methane) that is collected and stored in a low-pressure gasbag.
By fitting conventional anaerobic digestion technology and a gas collector into a 40ft shipping container, the £95,000 MuckBuster will become more appealing for use on a commercial scale. Customers are being told that they can recuperate the initial costs in two to five years, depending on the quality of the feedstock.
The MuckBuster has been designed to handle between 0.5 tonnes to 2.5 tonnes of waste – the smallest system requires half a tonne of food a day with the largest supporting up to 2.5 tonnes.
The technology is set to encourage businesses to make money from their waste. It could be used by supermarkets, hospitals, schools, hotels, with apartment blocks even in line to benefit.

Office building constructed out of shipping containers
A brand new, innovative three storey office building has been created out of used shipping containers Sunderland.
The project, which came to a total cost of £1.2m, was carried out for Sustainable Enterprise Strategies [SES], which supports social enterprises.
For the creation of the complex, there were thirty seven used shipping containers that were adapted and reconditioned ready for use – they will now house SES staff members, as well as being used as start-up accommodation for new businesses.
Each container that has been recycled will have been in use for about 20 years, traveling upwards of around one million miles transporting goods across oceans over the years.
The Director of SES, Mark Heskett Saddington, said: “We chose his unusual method of construction because it’s sustainable and appropriate. SES is committed to the principle of reduce, re-use and recycle and of course Sunderland has a long association with shipping. It’s also a relatively quick and low cost construction method.”
