Town Council objects to steel container hire
Brigg Town Council in Lincolnshire has just seen its’ planning committee object to the siting of five metal containers that have been placed near a residential area.
The Council considered the two-storey containers were not in keeping with the character of the residential area that neighbours it – claiming that they are causing a detrimental impact on the outlook from the rear of the properties on a road behind the site.
The committee backed the original decision made by the planning authority that the steel container hire shall be removed on or before three years from the decision date and the land shall be returned to its former constitution.

An Indian Oil Corporation container carrying 17.5 tonnes of gas has fallen into a canal.
The incident (pictured) occurred in Keezhvelur, according to The Hindu.
Fortunately, there was no leak following the episode.
